Tax credits, grants, and other benefits
There are a number of government and other programs available to those who qualify that can SIGNIFICANTLY reduce your cost of installing a solar power system to your home and /or business. Programs are available for residential only, or commercial only, or both, and may vary from state to state.
Here are just a few:
> Income Tax Credit (ITC) – offers a 30% Federal tax credit, including non-profit organizations, churches, city offices, etc.
> State Tax Credits – where available and vary by state – i.e. South Carolina has a 25% state tax credit
> American Made Credit – a 10% credit when system uses American made parts and panels (when available)
> Renewable Energy Tax Experts (RETE) – A service team of tax experts available to our customers as a direct and personal resource that focuses exclusively on renewable energy programs and the tax advantages. Partnered exclusively with BV Power insuring our customers get their maximum tax incentives.
> Depreciation Bonus – The USDA’s former REAP grant structure has been shifted toward a 100% Bonus Depreciation allowance, enabling farmers and rural areas to deduct the full cost of their solar installation in the first year.
> Low Income Communities Bonus Credit Program – provides an additional 10% or 20% credit to the investment tax credit for qualified solar energy facilities
> Community Tax Credit Bonus – available for various locations nationally that have had coal mines or coal-fired electrical generating units retired.
